SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 (SMM) – According to China Customs, China imported 25,653 tonnes of tin ore in July, up 14.6% MoM but down 29.2% YoY. The figure totaled 165,600 tonnes in the first seven months, down 43.1% YoY.

Monsoon season in Myanmar only made small effect on transportation of tin ore due to lower-than-expected rain. Moreover, firm tin price in the second half of July, which rose to as high as 150,000 yuan per tonne, also sparked selling interest of cargo holders.
